WordPress 1.5 Strayhorn
Oggi, 15 Febbraio 2005, è finalmente uscita la versione stabile di Wordpress release 1.5 chiamata “Strayhorn” (corno disperso o è il nome del noto compositore Billy Strayhorn?).
Se volete vedere uno dei primi siti aggiornati a questa release, allora visitate Qbic.
Se avete problemi nell’upgrade, potete consultare la guida di Wordpress Codex oppure la più esauriente guida di Tamba2.
Se cercate invece dei nuovi temi per la rel. 1.5 allora potete visitare: A List of Downloadable Themes o il solito Tamba2 (in fondo alla pagina c’è una esaueriente lista).
alla lista dei temi mancano alcuni nomi… ad esempio Manji2, che io monto, e il recente Quentin

Oggi, 17 Gennaio, è uscito l’annuncio ufficiale sul sito di Wordpress.org della nuova release 1.5 e, con mia grande meraviglia, la mia intuizione sull’origine del nome è risultata essere esatta:
“This release is named “Strayhornâ€? in honor of Billy Strayhorn the pianist and sublime composer who worked closely with Duke Ellington and wrote tunes like “Take the A Trainâ€? and “Lush Life.â€? We thought he was perfect to represent the power and elegance of this release, which has been under intense development and testing the past few months.”
